Hydron is a venture dedicated to providing innovative, clean transportation solutions using Hydrogen. Growing environmental pressures call for a need of cleaner urban and suburban transportation as current diesel buses have not benefited from the recent wave of electrification and hybridization that is transforming the automotive industry, and are still very polluting. Hydron makes it easy for our customers to green their fleets by offering the complete operation of the fuel cell buses, the refueling infrastructure and the required maintenance for long term contracts through a simple per km pricing scheme, limiting the customer's liability and risk in this clean tech investment.
Hydron's business model by-passes the chicken and egg problem commonly associated with hydrogen fuel cell transportation, providing a complete turnkey solution to the customer who wishes to green their fleet or contract out their transportation needs. By targeting transit and shuttle buses, Hydron will make hydrogen fuel cell transportation accessible to a large audience, and thus help to bust the myths associated.
The team has complimentary backgrounds in chemical engineering, energy systems engineering, human geography and environmental studies, and with the support and approval of the municipal governments and the electrical grid regulating bodies, Hydron are confident that will have their first bus on the road by the end of 2015.
