Hatchery Circle Panel #1: Entrepreneurship and Women

Entrepreneurship and Women: An Introduction

This session launches the Hatchery Circle Panel Series.  To open, there will be a short expository session about The Hatchery and resources provided by the program.

Panelists will then talk about what entrepreneurship means to them, how they got involved and what motivated them to pursue an entrepreneurial career path.   The overarching theme for this panel is to provide attendees with insight about entrepreneurship and business from the perspective of women in the field.  The goal is to shed some light on the start up community and give attendees the confidence to enter the space themselves.

Following the panelists’ insights, the discussion will open up to the audience.  Participants are encouraged to bring along any questions they may have about entrepreneurship, business or The Hatchery.

Ultimately, the goal of the panel is to convey the benefits of entrepreneurial thinking while being realistic about the challenges of starting a business, providing attendees with a fleshed-out idea of the space.  The panel also aims to illuminate how entrepreneurial skills help hone problem solving skills that apply across the board, whether in a professional or personal setting.

Panelists:

Joseph Orozco, Director of The Hatchery

Judy Paradi, Paradi Marketing Inc.

Candice Luck, Rotman MBA
