Gino Grano

From Engineering to Business and Beyond

As Regional Sales Vice President at Cisco Systems Canada, Gino Grano is responsible for leading sales to the country’s largest service provider operation.   This includes focusing on driving sales, improving customer intimacy, deepening customer relationships and driving awareness, understanding and adoption of new Cisco solutions in order to growing the operation to greater than $300M+ in annual bookings.

Gino brings over 20 years of sales, strategic business development, marketing, engineering, and operations expertise to this role. Prior to joining Cisco, he spent 13 years at Nortel holding  various increasingly senior roles in sales, business development, and strategic marketing with a broad range of technologies (enterprise, carrier, optical, IP, wireless, video) and a track record of penetrating new marketing, launching new products, and developing strategic market plans that leverage technology to deliver significant business value.

In addition to his corporate experience, Gino was one of the founding partners in an engineering consulting firm for 15 years before divesting in 2011. The practice grew its sales by over 1000% during his tenure in part to his focus on diversifying the business from exclusively commercial to retail, commercial, high rise residential and office.

Gino holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer.
