We are building Iron Man legs for children. Specifically, we are building a robotic exoskeleton device for children with Cerebral Palsy.
The current physiotherapy environment for children is lacking, with treatment being both labour and time intensive. There has been research regarding robotic rehabilitation and its benefits for children with Cerebral Palsy. However, while the robotic therapy promises improvements, the technology is bulky, expensive and as a result, out of reach for the vast majority of individuals. We are building an affordable exoskeleton for children with cerebral palsy, that the individual can purchase and use at home or clinic.
