Andrew Binkley is the CEO and Director of Opalux, a Toronto based security company. Created in 2006, Opalux develops anti-counterfeiting security devices through innovative technology. In a world where counterfeiting is not uncommon, Opalux is a leader in combating this very serious issue. Opalux’s clients include many passport agencies and central banks in North America, Europe, and Asia. Since 2014, Andrew has helped Opalux turn into a global leader in the technology and security sectors.
Andrew is a University of Toronto alumnus from our very own Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. He is also a lawyer turned entrepreneur who has a long list of qualifications in several industries. As a former scientific researcher then lawyer, he is well versed in a variety of topics. His expertise in business and technology has allowed him to mentor and educate others. He is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and a delegate to the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference. Andrew has experience in business, technology, and engineering.
