Edouard Ratiarson

Edouard is a seasoned Innovator and Experience Strategist. He has studied Engineering Science from University of Toronto. In this program, he learnt the fundamentals of many Engineering disciplines and Human Computer Interaction. After graduating, he has been focused on starting and running successful entrepreneurial ventures in digital innovation. Edouard has also studied Design Thinking from Stanford’s D-School. In the early 2000’s, Edouard worked his way up to become the Canadian head of Ogilvy & Mather interactive division. During this time he was also a lead technical lead and strategist on American Express and Nestle Globally. He then opened a digital agency called Base2, which he grew to four locations worldwide. The agency became Nestle Foodservices’ eBusiness Agency of Record and was responsible for the design, development and campaign activities globally in 26 countries. After 7 years, Edouard sold Base2 and moved on to working on hand-picked projects Software Startups. He then opened Meme-Boutique, a customer experience agency that would become global agency of record for Medtronic, the world’s largest medical devices manufacturer. In this capacity, Edouard was responsible for the design of a global eCommerce, eLearning and Support tool to be depolyed market by market and corresponding global lead nurturing campaigns. With proven ability to operate within agencies, start-ups and large-scale businesses, influencing effectively across and within organizations. In his spare time, Edouard writes, performs and produces music in his vintage analog studio, and he sponsors and supports a primary school in Madagascar.

Greg Ogiba

Greg is a food and agribusiness leader with experience working throughout the entire supply chain from developing products, securing supply with growers around the world to merchandising with North American retailers. Greg has an MBA from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Originally from the USA, he has called Toronto home for the past 13 years or so.

Igor Kostioutchenko

Igor is a co-founder of a boutique CPA firm where he specializes in advising clients on a multitude of finance-related challenges. Focusing on entrepreneurial and growth-oriented enterprises, he works with stakeholders to: secure capital/financing, establish financial reporting and internal controls, implement performance measurement processes, create tax-advantageous structures, troubleshoot constraints, and implement innovative technologies.

After graduating from the University of Toronto, Igor articled with Deloitte LLP where he obtained his CPA, CA, CIA, and CFE designations through requisite coursework and experience. Proficient with IFRS, ASPE, US GAAP and the Income Tax Act, he leveraged this knowledge to consult on and execute numerous transactions (private and public) before co-founding a firm of his own.

Today, Igor works with early-stage businesses to assist them in realizing their potential through: mentorship, advisory, technology leadership, and networking.

Richard Helbig

In 1973 Richard obtained a B.A.Sc. degree at the University of Toronto in Geological Engineering, followed six years later by an MBA from the Harvard Business School. During a career spanning 40 years he has worked around the world for CIBC, The Boston Consulting Group and Merrill Lynch out of Toronto, New York, Munich and Moscow where, in 1992 he co-founded Price, Helbig & Company.

He spent over a decade working in Russia on the conversion of Russian banks and industrial enterprises from state to private ownership, and played a role in the establishment of the first American Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

Along the way he has been a Director of Canadian, Russian and Chinese companies as well as founder of several gold, oil and iron companies with discoveries in Guyana, S. America.

Jacqui Detmar

Jacqui has been involved with startup companies for the past 25 years, taking a hiatus from 2002-2009 to earn a Ph.D. and a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular biology. Her 11-year tenure at MedAvail and her current role as the VP – Product & QA, has enabled her to add medical devices product management and testing to her repertoire. Jacqui is an experienced, senior executive with a demonstrated history of working as a leader in the software development and biotechnology industries. A seasoned professional in startup environments with multiple skill-sets and the aptitude to handle complex and rapidly-shifting goals, allowing organizations to keep pace with market drivers. An enthusiastic supporter of learning and development, Jacqui is always thrilled to share her love of learning and pass on what she has discovered throughout her career. She will always seize a chance to learn more and offer others a helping hand in their own journeys!

Hadi Aladdin

Hadi Aladdin is a serial entrepreneur, engineer, Cryptocurrencies early adopter & investor (since 2017) and published author. He is a frequent technology & Cryptocurrencies guest and commentator on TV channels, including: Bloomberg Asharq, CNBC, SkyNews, AlArabiya, and mbc (https://linktr.ee/hadialaddin).

He has founded and grew successful technology ventures with global reach spanning the fields of education technology, healthcare technology, food ordering technology, software development consulting and Hyperloop (transportation).

His work has been featured at various reputable publications, including the Harvard Business Review, Deloitte reports, and Dubai School of Government’s Social Media report, and his ventures have been endorsed by government and global business leaders. Hadi is an active speaker at various international conferences including the MIT Enterprise Forum, The Annual Conference of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario and the IEEE Young Professionals.

He has played a vital role in establishing the startup incubation system at the University of Toronto, and he acts as an active founding mentor and judge at the “Entrepreneurship Hatchery” – the formal incubator of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto, in addition to being a frequent judge and mentor at various regional and international incubators and competitions.

Hadi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, which has recognized him among its top researchers in its Annual Research Report.

Titu Botos

Titu Botos is the CEO of NeuronicWorks and has held various positions in
leading organizations like Exploranium, MDA (formerly SPAR Aerospace),
Vishay Precision Group (formerly KELK) and has also held teaching positions
at University of Timisoara. He has over 30 years of experience in analysis,
design, testing and debugging of both analog and digital systems and has a
strong background in engineering research and training.
His experience spans across electronic technologies, from industrial environments to space applications, instrumentation to control, and ultra-low power (uW) to high-power (KW) systems. He displays a depth of knowledge across multiple technical areas in both existing and emerging technologies.
Titu holds a Ph.D. in Mobile Robots Guidance, a Master of Science in Instrumentation of Electronic Measurements field, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.

Zoltan Horcsok

Zoltan is an investment professional with a fluent understanding of capital markets, and a
demonstrated track record for managing business units through complex environments,
regulatory change, and disruption. His experience canvasses over 25 years with both
domestic and international broker-dealers, in roles ranging from research associate to
senior executive. During his time as Head of Institutional Trading with UBS Canada and
Canaccord Financial, he transitioned business models to address both cyclical and secular
industry shifts, including the implementation of technology-intensive trading platforms. He
has been involved in all stages of corporate finance and has a profound respect for the
value of risk management, multipronged investment strategies, team building, and
stakeholder collaboration.
Zoltan is currently Principal and CIO of North Sound Investments, an SFO where he oversees
diverse portfolios. He is a musician, recording engineer, producer, and an active volunteer
(past board positions with Canadian health-related charities). He lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter.

David Jorjani

David has been a founding member or advisor of several tech startups in multiple industries. His expertise is working with all the stakeholders and leading product development from inception to delivery. He has built and led software engineering teams developing products used across the globe. He also teaches at the University of Toronto and has taught software engineering, software design, and digital business strategies.

Strong engineering professional with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communication systems from University of Toronto.

Isaac Seah

Isaac is a Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte. He holds a passion for innovation, digital technologies and strives for delivery excellence. Isaac has held various roles in product management and product development in academia and the public sector where he has enabled public sector clients to develop computational competencies to combat climate change and enhance urban planning processes. Isaac hopes to apply his core experiences in analytics, design and product delivery in the provision of enterprise-level technology solutions across private and public domains.
