Medical error is the third largest cause of death and 12{34c9974c9f037906bae42c3676d93165aea54f9096490e73d778a46fd16d4262} of this is due to the improper application of force in surgery; yet, surgeons have no objective way of sensing these forces. To address this, SensOR Medical has developed a patent-pending force-sensing film that wraps around any make or model of minimally invasive surgical tool. This technology senses all of the forces at the tip of the tool and wirelessly relays the information to the surgeon. With accurate knowledge of the amount of force being applied to tissue, surgeons will be able to operate more accurately and safely with fewer complications.
