Laboratorial soil testing is a long, tedious process which can take upwards of fifteen days, including collecting, sending soil samples and incurring any related fees. Regular testing can help cash-croppers improve their yield by 20-30%, but due aforementioned reasons, farmers choose to avoid it entirely for several years together and estimate their soil nutrition requirements, leading to sub-optimal yields and disease-prone crops. With climate change having a global impact, soil chemistry has become volatile. We propose an on-site modular soil testing device that can estimate soil parameters to a considerable level of accuracy, and use IOT/AI to give recommendations based on them.
